Dr. Ron Burkhalter DC
Dr. Ron obtained his doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. He is proficient in a variety of techniques including Palmer Package, Gonstead, Thompson, Diversified, Activator, Arthrostim, and more. Dr. Ron adopts a "whole person approach" when treating his patients, utilizing a combination of hands-on techniques, digital x-ray, Class IV Laser, nutrition, Pulse PEMF, and even canine adjustments to enhance and maintain wellness.
Dr. Ron learned of the benefits of chiropractic care growing up in Sun Prairie next to a husband-wife team who worked on his father’s ailing back. With his extensive training in examination and treatment procedures, with a focus on the neuromuscular structure, he caters to patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly, including athletes.
Dr. Melanie Burkhalter DC
Dr. Melanie studied at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA where she received her doctorate in Chiropractic. She is proficient in Palmer Package, Gonstead, Thompson, Diversified, Activator, Arthrostim, and many more. With extensive training in rehab and nutritional counseling, she provides well-rounded care. Dr. Melanie is also certified in the Webster Technique and prenatal care.
Using a “whole person approach” when treating her patients, she combines the best hands-on techniques, digital x-ray, Class IV Laser, nutrition, and Pulse PEMF.
Dr. Melanie is a third-generation chiropractor following in the footsteps of her grandfather, father, uncle, and brother.
With her extensive training in examination and treatment procedures, Dr. Melanie specializes in helping infants, children, and pregnant women daily.
Dr. Austin Burkhalter DC
Dr. Austin grew up in Baraboo and is happy to be providing care for the community he grew up in. Dr. Austin graduated Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic with his Doctorate degree as well as his Bachelors in Science. Dr. Austin was also nominated for the prestegious clinical excellence award at graduation. He is a member of the International Chiropractic Pedicatric Association. Dr. Austin is also certified in Class IV laser therapy.

Dr. Austin is a 4th generation chiropractor in his family following in the footsteps of his parents, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his fiance Ellie, friends, family, hiking, hunting and watching sports.
Dr. Justin Huinker DC
Dr. Justin Huinker's chiropractic journey began right here at Burkhalter Chiropractic. In high school, he experienced several neck injuires while playing football and found crucial support from Drs. Ron and Melanie Burkhalter. Their assistance not only helped him recover, but also sparked his interest in pursuing a career in chiropractic.
He furthered his education at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science. Following his undergraduate education, his passion for chiropractic care led him to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. After completing his chiropractic degree, he accepted a position in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He treated various patients and injuries, working with professional athletes while in Pittsburgh. Dr. Justin also had the privilege of working with many collegiate athletes in the area.
Dr. Justin is trained in a diverse range of techniques, including Diversified, Thompson, flexion/distraction, fascial stretch therapy, cupping, Graston, dry needling, and more. With advanced education and years of experience, he has been able to treat various injuries and gain knowledge in active and passive forms of physiotherapy.
